Harley-Davidson previously used Dot 5 Brake fluid but now use Dot 4. These fluids so not mix so it is very important you use the correct fluid for your model. The change over is during model years 2005-2007 so please make sure you get the correct rating of fluid for your bike

Specially formulated for high performance and heavy duty applications. Meets or exceeds FMVSS-16 and SAE Spec J-1703 for excellent brake performance. High boiling point (dry) of 446 degrees F suitable for high performance, can be used for Hydraulic clutches as well.
